Episode 3: The trouble-some Rattata

Last time, Our hero set off from his hometown of Pallet. On the way, he met another young trainer called Mike. Mike challenged Matt to a Pokemon battle, and he couldn’t refuse. But, midway in the battle our heroes Mewlec got poisoned, and had to be returned to it’s pokeball! In the end, Matt won the battle with the help of Bulbasaur! What will happen next? Here’s the conclusion!

*Shake* *Shake* *Shake* “ Come on Matt, wake up! We’ve got a long day ahead of us.
Wake up!”
Matt opened my eyes and saw Mike shaking him. “Oh, good. You’re awake. I’ve been thinking, how about we stop he for a while and capture some Pokemon, just before we head to Pallet?”
Matt sat up. “Yeah, that’s a great idea. I need all the Pokemon I can get if I want to beat the Gym”.
After breakfast, Mike and Matt set off North. After some time they heard some rustling in a nearby bush. ”Bulbasaur, get ready.” Said Matt
“Saur.” Bulbasaur replied.
Out of the bush jumped the same Rattata Matt had seen the night before. “Ah” Matt said. ”It’s time to capture you once and for all! Bulbasaur, Tackle Attack!”
But before Bulbasaur could move, the Rattata had run off.
“Darn. That pokemon is tiresome.”
“You need Patience Matt. That’s the only way you capture Pokemon” Said Mike
“Yeah, I guess your right.”
They carried on up the path. Just then Matt heard a squawking in a tree not far off. “Oh yeah, a bird Pokemon! C’mon Bulbasaur!” Said Matt.
He ran over to the tree. Holding a stick, Matt gently probed the branches. With an angry squawk, a Pidgey flew out.
He held out his pokedex.
“Pidgey, a tiny bird Pokemon. A common sight in forests and woods. It flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand.”
The Pidgey glared at him angrily,
“Wow cool! This is a MUST Capture. Bulbasaur, use your vine-whip!” Matt yelled.
The enemy Pidgey used a gust attack on Bulbasaur, but Bulbasaur flinched and wasn’t seriously hurt. “BULBASAUR!” Yelled Bulbasaur as he used his Vinewhip. Pidgey instantly fainted the moment it was hit.
Without hesitation Matt threw a pokeball. “POKEBALL GO!”
The ball came to a rest beside the fallen Pidgey. The Pidgey was zapped inside. Matt was tense as the pokeball rocked violently, then it came to a halt. “YES! I CAPTURED PIDGEY!” Matt yelled.
“Bulbasaur, great job! Return!”
Mike came running over. “Wow, that was great!”
Matt smiled. “This is just one Pokemon closer to capturing all 150. I still have a lot of work to do.”
Suddenly, he heard a munching behind him. Matt swerved to find the Rattata from before eating their food.
“Hey, get out of there!” Yelled Mike.
The Rattata squealed and ran off.
Mike said, “Hey Matt, why didn’t you capture it?”
Matt replied, “Because Bulbasaur need’s a rest, Pidgey was just caught and Mewlec is hurt.”
“Oh yeah Sorry. I’m out of potions.”
“Will there be any houses near by?”
“On my journey down I did spot a few.”
“How long ‘till the next one?”
“About ten minutes that way. Viridian City is not far off.”
They continued on down the road, not knowing that the Rattata was following them every step of the way.
